Snapchat calculates a fee based on the date, time, demand of location and size of the “Geofence” area your Geofilter is activated within. Our customer service representatives handle the submission and activation process. Continue reading to learn more about how this fee is calculated.
The Snapchat Activation Fee is based on the timeframe and geographic area that the Geofilter will be active over. The Geofence size needs to be a minimum of 20,000 square feet (approximately the size of a house and a yard), and can increase to a maximum of 50 million square feet. The larger the area, or the longer the timeframe, the larger this Snapchat Activation Fee will become. Our Account Management team will personally handle the Snapchat submission and management process, which is built into this Snapchat Activation Fee.
One important note for businesses to consider regarding the Snapchat Activation Fee is that for extended timeframes, the Activation Fee is actually cheaper on a per day basis. Geofilters can be set up anywhere from 1 hour to 6 months, with businesses having the exclusive ability to have their Geofilter active for a full year. For this reason, businesses looking to utilize Geofilters as a long-term marketing tool should consider investing in a longer term Geofilter to capitalize on these savings while still experiencing increased marketing benefits.
Certain high-profile venues and areas have had this fee artificially inflated by Snapchat, such as luxury hotels, stadiums, and high density metropolitan areas. After placing an inquiry with us, we will quote you the Snapchat fee and provide an image outlining the “Geofence” of where your Geofilter will be active. The Snapchat fee will not be charged until you have approved your Geofilter design and are ready to have it go live.
To assist you best, corporate and celebrity clients should contact us directly. We will connect you with a personal account manager. All inquires are held in full confidence.
